We are living in a world which is constantly updating. From new phones every month, to new car models ever fortnight. Nothing seems to continue forever. The batches to be produced seems to get smaller every month. A SPM may not be the solution as the parts may be discontinued in a few months. On the other hand a VMC or a HMC may be the answer but these are expensive machine demanding very large investment.

Sensing this need, we at Shenoy Engineering have taken up the challenge to address this issue in the market. We have developed a Vertical Machining Centre, which is industrial grade, but at the price of a hobby CNC. This machine produces high accuracies, repeatability and response like any other industrial grade CNC machine, but at almost 1/3rd price.

General Area of Uses:

Automotive Industry/Job Shop:

Automotive Industry is a cut throat industry, where every penny matters. The parts change within a few years or even months. The production requirement is high and part life is small. Machining charges is very competitive. With a SPM, the production is high. But if the part is changed, adapting it for the other part is difficult. A VMC is expensive and production is slow. But you can adapt a VMC for different component if the part is discontinued. Keeping this is mind, you can go for our B-VMC. As the price is less, to meet your production targets, you can use multiple machine.

For small components our machine is ideal. A smaller machine with smaller strokes, good accuracies and smaller price tag will reduce the machining charges. Depreciation cost is be less as the price tag is small. Running cost is less, as smaller foot print results in smaller area and lesser rent. Power requirement is also less than a standard VMC. Tomorrow if the part gets discontinued, just change the fixture for another part! It is that simple.

In addition, with our optionally offered 4th axis rotary table, the possibility of machining is endless.

Aerospace Industry:

Why invest on a large VMC for machining small components? Our B-VMC with 4th axis HIWIN rotary table is the ideal candidate for your machining needs. The HIWIN rotary table does not use conventional worm drive. It uses torque motors, which makes the spindle as rotor and housing as stator. Since no intermediary drive is present between the spindle to motor, this improves the accuracy of the rotary table, eliminates possibility of backlash from wear and response is high. This works very well for multi-axes interpolation milling.  

Our B-VMC will be an ideal, affordable solution for your 4 axes machining requirement.
