It is pitiable to see huge, old planers being discarded. With little investment, these condemned planers can be revived into incredible, highly productive Plano millers. In Shenoy Engg, we take pride in being instrumental in giving new lease of life to more than 3000 old planers.

We also buy the old planing machines in whatever condition they are available. We bring such planers to our works; scrape the sliding surfaces for a good blue-match and replace the worm out rotating parts like bearings, lead screws, box nut etc. After assembly, geometrical alignment and testing to the test-chart parameters, we convert these machines into Plano millers by retrofitting our milling heads and feed system package. We make all geared milling heads in 2 versions – ram type milling head with self-driven movement for ram movement (useful for drilling & ձանձրալի, after milling) & conventional milling head with cylindrical quills, having manual movement for depth of cut setting mechanism. As Plano millers, these condemned planers excel in their performance. The dead-slow single point cutting is replaced by high speed, multi-point cutting by carbide cutters. The near-condemned old planer has to just carry the load of the work piece & feed it to the cutter, that too in very slow feed motion after plano milling conversion. The rigors of the cutting load is taken over by our brand new, rugged & well proven milling head. Drasticaly reduced table feed rate helps in reducing the wear & tear, break down of the sliding & rotating parts of the converted plano miller. Since the carcass of an old planer is used for the structurals of a converted plano miller, the cost of the machine is incredibly low.
